Well I got to spend about 2 hours with this family (and extended family) and I felt like I was a part of it after. Learning that one of the family members went to high school with my uncle was pretty fun to find out as well. It was also nice that they lived about 3 blocks from where my grandmother lives in San Jose, and their house was a great spot for their family portraits.
The cause of the occasion was the matriarch of the family turning 90 years young. So family members came in from far and wide to celebrate the day.

2011Lets see here, great people, great church, great weather, great restaurant (oh my goodness, that stake was so good I can’t describe it!) I think that just about describes the Alvarengas dedication celebration for their little girl.
The dedication was held at the Cathedral of Faith church in San Jose, CA. After the ceremony we headed up to the restaurant Mexico Lindo for the great food they have there.
Looking forward to the birthday party in a couple months!
