I met up with the Rudd family for their Santa Cruz family portrait session at Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz. This was the second time I had been to Natural Bridges and the first time doing family portraits there.
We started off our session at the path leading to where the Monarch Butterflies hang out during parts of the winter. There was a nice wood path that we followed for a short distance. We did some family portraits there in addition to some candid/fun ones of the kids playing around.
I was asked by Keith Simonian to come help him photograph this Clos laChance Winery wedding in San Martin, CA. I met up with him and Megan & Robert at the winery and started getting candids of everyone. I spent the morning with Keith & the bride photographing her and mostly details from the room & other wedding related items. Afterwards I headed out to the basement where the guys were arriving so I could photograph them getting ready.
Since the guys had plenty of time, they decided to play some games while waiting. Once the games were done it was time to get them dressed and to get a couple portraits of just the groom before the ceremony. The room they were getting ready in had a HUGE wood table and with the walls & paintings it reminded me of a medieval castle.
The ceremony was held outside on the grass. It was an outdoor wedding ceremony with umbrellas for the guests in a very scenic location. They were married with family & close friends around them. We had some great light during the ceremony and were able to capture some nice images.
When the ceremony was over, we headed up to the reception which was on an outdoor patio. The dinner was served buffet style and there was TONS of food there. Dancing was held inside one of the rooms where the band was playing.
The Clos LaChance Winery wedding was held in San Martin, CA (near Morgan Hill).
