Today was the first day this season I got to photograph baseball.  Todays game was Sierra vs West Valley College at West Valley.

Last saturday was a weird day.  Seriously.  I got to the fields and put on my long sleeve shirt so I’d stay warm.  About half way through the first game I couldn’t wait to get to my car and put on my short sleeve shirt.  Then it started getting nice & hot (especially when you’re sitting on the fields!) with no wind.  Then came the wierdest part – it started drizziling. Yes, we got drizzled on in the middle of July. This is California, not Alabama!  This doesn’t happen to us!

But the games were fun, and I saw some good teams play.  Images can be purchased by contacting Action Shooters Norcal.

Man, it was windy out there during the tournament!  It was sometimes painful for me as I kept having to deal with sand getting in my eyes & messing up  my contacts.  But it was fun, I saw some really good plays while I was there.

A couple weeks ago I was out in Dublin photographing the little league (See previous post).  This was a saturday I spent out there getting nice & sunburnt, and the fact it was 100+ degrees outside didn’t help too much either.  Luckily the Outback is pretty close by & I made sure to call in my order so I could eat it on my way home.

I’m working on getting a few backlogged photo shoots online, and this is one that I did last month with Action Shooters Norcal as we photographed the Warm Springs Little League.

I’ve had the chance the past two weeks or so to photograph the kids of the Dublin Little league.  I got to see some great plays, endured some crazy heat, and rewarded myself with a little trip to the Outback Steakhouse in Dublin after my last game.  The last two games I shot exclusively with my new Nikon D300 camera.  Once I get a chance I’ll be picking up a second one to use.

First baseball of the year!  I haven’t been to Junction Middle School since I played hockey on the outdoor rink a few years ago.  So about a week or so ago I had the chance to photograph the Livermore National Little League for an evening with Action Shooters Norcal.  We still have more teams to shoot, and hopefully we’ve gotten all the players.
