2013LDS Wedding Photography by Scott Mosher of Suzy & Steven at the Oakland LDS Temple.
The weather forecast for the day Suzy & Steven got married kept changing. Early in the week it was supposed to have a 50-60% chance of rain Thurs – Sunday. I checked Thurs morning and it changed to sunny all weekend. Sunny enough I took the family to the Oakland Zoo Friday. Saturday the weather called for partly cloudy until 2pm, and then a 30% chance of rain, and cold. I came up with my assistant Joe expecting cold weather. By the time the couple came out of the Temple at 1, I had my shirt sleeves rolled up and wishing I had brought some sunscreen.
We started off with the usual candids of guests before the couple came out of the Temple. Then as the couple came out we have fun getting candids of them greeting everyone. We spent a little over an hour photographing the formals on the steps and then took the bridal party out for some other fun photographs. We wandered around the upper terrace for a little bit as well as on the bridges that are on the Temple grounds.
Thanks to Joe for coming out and assisting me at the wedding. You also got some great shots from the day.

2013After I talked on the phone with Stephanie about their wedding and the things they had planned I knew they were going to be a fun couple. We started off the engagement session at the old Forbes Mill in Los Gatos. We both mentioned the irony that Stephanie and I have lived in the South Bay our entire life but have never been inside. After spending a little bit of time at the mill we headed out to St Joseph Open Space for a few minutes to get a few scenic portraits of them. We had great light and nice green grass to work with.
Once we finished in the hills we headed into downtown Los Gatos for our last location and a change of clothes. We made this location our more formal location while the other was our casual locations.
